Company Background

Fordgate Technology was established in 1996, initially working with south coast and UK companies, preparing them for ISO 9000 approval and advising on systematic improvements to their quality systems.

Based in Portishead, Fordgate is well placed to support UK companies in all areas of manufacturing, whether they are in the engineering, food production, aerospace or marine sectors.

Clients

Client companies have ranged from small specialist companies to large multi-nationals. Clients include building materials manufacturers, suppliers of electrical and electronic equipment, specialist electronic design and manufacturing companies through to mobile phone operators and aerospace companies.

Projects carried out for clients include:

Update of client's ISO9002 quality management system to meet revised ISO9000:2000 standards
Implementation of ISO9001 / TickIT quality system for a specialist electronics design house
Introduction of simple project management tools into design/build process
Provision of supporting documentation to enable CE marking of client equipment
Revision of design processes to address revised aerospace certification criteria (ARP 4754)
Provision of internal audit capability
